About our twins DNA test:
Twins DNA testing can help determine if twins are identical or fraternal. Twin siblings can either be ‘identical’ (monozygotic twins) or ‘fraternal’ (heterozygotic twins) but determining this basing on appearance is not scientific or reliable.
Reasons for doing a twin test
Curiosity testing: Parents of twins and twins themselves may wish to know whether they are identical or non-identical.
Medical necessity: In medical situations requiring blood transfusions and organ transplantation, an identical twin can help save the second twin’s life. Knowing twin zygosity beforehand is thus beneficial for timely action.

Pricing & ordering your twins DNA test
Our twin zygosity is for for two siblings. If additional siblings need to be tested then are additional fees per person. Results are available within 5 to 7 business days from arrival of the samples at our labs.
Note: We can only guarantee standard result turnaround time when testing takes place solely using oral swab samples. Using a discreet sample for your test may lead to an increase in turnaround time.
